Empty Bowl Fundraiser
Last Night I volunteered at the bowl table. This was my first year to go. The people came by in crowds to pick their one bowl they got with their ticket. My job was to restock the table with bowls underneath. I enjoyed chatting with the other volunteers, a local roller derby team and starbuck employees.
There were many styles, shapes, and colors. The local high schools also participated.
For your ticket you got all the soup you wanted (8 kinds but only 2 left by the time I got to eat) and bread and dessert. I saw a few friends there and talked to them awhile. It was a good cause for the womens shelter in castle rock.

My family attended the Empty Bowl fundraiser last night, too. We bought more than 10 pieces of pottery from the local artists. One artist particularly caught our attention--Daniel Gonzalez. Do you happen to have his contact information? If so, could you please post it? Thanks JDM
I do know the artist as I took a class from him. He is a teacher at Rocky Canyon High school and his work number is 303-387-3112.
I talked to him that night. He had quite a few interesting pieces his students had done as well.
Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I'll contact Daniel to potentially buy some of his artwork.
I would love to see his web site if he sells online. I collect pottery, all kinds, as I am from the mountains of NC, lots of folksie arts here. Asheville and Boone known for the arts, old timie style. Also, running likker so we have NASCAR, but I do not drink! LOL...Like to collect some from the Rockies also to go with my Applanchian collection.
Note, I mostly use my Yahoo account but will come to my:
